I loved your presentation . . .  thank you for being persistent! Hopefully one day I can make my mark in the technology world just as you! 2016 NICE Conference attendee

I enjoyed your style, delivery, and the content, as well as you linked your experiences to how underrepresented populations can alter their mindset and affect change . . . empowering people to overcome!  2016 NICE Conference attendee

Thank you for your (always) excellent presentation  for STEM parents. I enjoy hearing the ways and ideas for advocacy that you share.  We appreciate your time, enthusiasm, experience. Science Pioneers, Inc.

April's networking skills far surpass those I've seen in many of today's upcoming influencers in the community. She is able to effectively and intentionally "work a room" with a mission in mind, whether on behalf of a client or to network to build her business.  Rick Krska, President and Chief Executive Servant at InkCycle, Inc.

April came to our organization a few years ago when she relocated to Kansas City. April has been a keynote speaker and presenter for the Black Family Technology Awareness Week celebration in Kansas City. She supports the work that our group and others are doing to increase Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) awareness to families in the community. She not only talks it but she has encouraged her children to be involved in STEM activities in and around Kansas City.  Lewis Walker, President - Black Family Technology Awareness Association (BFTAA); Principal-Advanced Technical Support, AT&T

April is not afraid to reach out to others and network. Her fierce determination kick started our business relationship last year which resulted in us now having a personal, mentoring friendship. Oddly enough, after connecting, we discovered we already had two corporate connections. I find her unique perspectives about corporate partnership and talent development in STEM inspiring. She is an innovative thinker willing to serve others, especially our youths.

As a higher education administrator at Central Texas College, April exhibited a natural talent to effectively grasp educational concepts and apply best practices. She used her keen business sense to efficiently assess policies and her robust knowledge of operations to liaison between corporate, college, and military clients (eArmyU) nationwide. A consummate professional, even when faced with strict deadlines, April worked from a platform of efficiency and set a positive example of effective leadership for others to follow. Stephanie Legree-Roberts, Director of Student Success & Persistence, Academic Studio - Student Success Center at Central Texas College

April is my "go-to" trainer for developing curriculum for engaging youth programs at our week long summer camp in Chilhowee, MO. Her programs always tie in community service and talent development of basic life skills for youths.

Lynn Miller, Director of Ministries at Palestine MBCJC; Author

I met April while working in business development at the FEC. I immediately took to her because we had a lot in common. She has a "can-do" attitude, is a published author, and goes over and above what is asked of her. She has a bright entrepreneurial spirit that is contagious to those around her. She is an asset to her profession. I highly recommend April.
