April Boyd- Noronha is the Chief STEM Engagement Strategist

at The STEM Broker, LLC, where she carefully curates programs

and events that authentically connect corporations with their

intended communities. Her other primary roles include:


As the Global Advisor on Diversity and Inclusion for the

XR Safety Initiative (XRSI), she will lead the Cyber-XR Coalition.

The Coalition brings together D&I-focused leading organizations

to advance diversity and inclusion within the fields of XR and

As a STEM Parent of 3 aspiring technologists, April is a passionate advocate who applies her personal experiences:

  • To help parents discover ways to consistently engage and encourage their daughter to pursue a STEM career.

  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), she wrote “The Top 5 Rules of Engagement for Parents Raising a Girl in STEM” (eBook, 2016)   

  • To coach and help elevate a parent's awareness and importance of actively engaging in STEM

  • To give parents practical yet strategic steps to systematically apply regardless of their daughter’s level of STEM involvement. 


April is the Program Director and Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. She teaches courses in Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Leadership, and Management. Recent presentations include:

  • Advanced Cybersecurity Topics 

  • Managing Information and Security Systems

  • Relational Database Management (SQL)
